# FAQ & Troubleshooting

Common questions and quick fixes.

## The player doesn't show up on my store

The app embed isn't saved in your live theme. Open WavExp, click **Enable App Embed**, then **Save** in the theme editor. If you've switched themes, do it again on the new one. See [Installation](/wavexp-music-player/wavexp/getting-started/installation.md).

## The music doesn't start by itself

No browser lets a website play sound until the visitor has tapped or clicked the page. With [autoplay](/wavexp-music-player/wavexp/player/autoplay-and-shuffle.md) on (Pro and Studio), the music starts on the shopper's first tap or click, anywhere on your store. Autoplay works best with uploaded MP3s and external links; YouTube and SoundCloud tracks are less reliable.

## The player only shows on my home page

On Free, that's the plan's limit. On Pro or Studio, check that **HomePage Only** is off in **Settings → Advanced**. See [Where the Player Shows](/wavexp-music-player/wavexp/player/visibility.md).

## The player is hidden behind my cart drawer (or covers it)

Adjust **Player Z-Index** in **Settings → Appearance → Layout**. Higher numbers sit on top, up to 100. See [Display Modes](/wavexp-music-player/wavexp/player/display-modes.md#if-the-player-sits-behind-something).

## I want the player off on one page

Add that page's URL with **Add URL to exclude music player widget** in **Settings → Advanced**. See [Where the Player Shows](/wavexp-music-player/wavexp/player/visibility.md).

## The music stopped and doesn't come back on the next page

The shopper paused it. A paused player stays paused for the rest of their visit, on purpose.

## The wrong playlist is playing

Only the active playlist plays. Open the one you want in **Playlists** and click **Set as Active**. See [Playlists](/wavexp-music-player/wavexp/tracks/playlists.md#choosing-which-playlist-is-live).

## The tracks play in the wrong order

Drag them into order in the playlist and save. If **Shuffle Playlist** is on in **Settings → Playlist**, the order is random on purpose.

## I can only add two tracks

The Free plan has one playlist with two tracks. Pro and Studio are unlimited.

## YouTube and SoundCloud are locked

They're on Pro and Studio. On Free, upload an MP3 or WAV, or use an external link.

## My audio file won't upload

Upload Audio File takes MP3 or WAV, up to 30 MB. Export a smaller file, or convert it to MP3.

## Platform links, CTA badges or lyrics are locked

They're Studio features. See [Plans](/wavexp-music-player/wavexp.md#plans).

## The lyrics button is missing or greyed out

That song has no lyrics. The button only works on songs you've added lyrics to. Open the track, add them under **Lyrics**, and save. See [Lyrics](/wavexp-music-player/wavexp/tracks/lyrics.md).

## The player looks broken after I added custom CSS

Click **Reset CSS** in **Settings → Custom CSS**. Custom CSS is for advanced users, and we can't support changes made with it.
