# Cart

What happens after someone adds to cart.

## After add to cart

**Stay on the page** (default) or **Go to the cart page**.

Staying puts the item into the floating cart box without a page load, so the visitor keeps their place in the grid and can carry on. Going to the cart page is the ordinary Shopify behaviour and suits a shop where most orders are one item.

It applies to every product, which is why it is here rather than on the product section.

Whichever you pick, the phone bar's checkout button and the cart box's own buttons are unaffected — they always go where they say they go.
