# Branding

The favicon, and the image shown when someone shares a link.

The favicon and the image shown when a link to the shop is shared. The shop mark itself is under [Logo](https://github.com/cec-hdz/webexp-docs/tree/main/supra/theme-settings/logo.md).

## Favicon

**Use a square PNG.**

SVG is sharper and the theme serves it correctly, but Safari only began rendering SVG favicons at **version 26**. Every version from 3.2 to 18.7 ignores them entirely, so a large share of Mac and iPhone visitors would see a blank tab. A PNG works everywhere.

For a raster favicon the theme outputs three sizes — 32px for desktop tabs, 192px for Android home screens, and a 180px Apple touch icon — so it's sharp wherever it's used.

## Social sharing image

The picture shown when a link to your shop is shared or messaged. **PNG or JPG at 1200 × 630.**

**No social network or messaging app will render an SVG here.** If your only image is an SVG, the theme deliberately sends no picture at all and lets the small text card be drawn instead — a card that claims to have an image and then can't load one looks worse than one that never promised.

Product, article and collection pages use their own image instead of this one. This covers everything else: the home page, the lookbook, policy pages — the places a link is most likely to be posted.
