# Policies

One page listing the policies you have written.

Shopify keeps your refund, privacy, terms, shipping and contact policies in **Settings → Policies**, each on its own Shopify-hosted page. This section puts a list of links to them in one place.

## Setting it up

**Online Store → Pages → Add page.** Call it Policies. Under **Theme template**, pick `policies`.

The page's own heading and any words you write on it come from the page itself — the section is only the list underneath. There is nothing to configure on it.

## What appears

Only policies you have actually written. Shopify hands the theme every slot whether or not there is anything in it, and an unwritten one comes through empty.

So the list grows as you write them. A shop that has only written a refund policy gets a list of one, rather than seven links where six lead nowhere.

If you have written none, the section renders nothing at all and the page is just its own heading.

## The footer link

The footer's bottom row can carry a link to this page — **Show a policies link** on the [Footer](/supra-shopify-theme/supra/sections-and-features/footer.md). It finds the page by the template, so assigning `policies` to a page is all that is needed to make the link work.
