# Footer

Navigation, link columns, mailing list and the bottom row.

In the reference layout, navigation lives in the footer rather than the header — so this is the main way around the store.

| **Column 1–3** | A heading and a menu each |
| **Show mailing list** | The email sign-up |
| **Show social links** | Off by default. The accounts and style come from Theme settings → Social media |
| **Mailing list heading** / **Placeholder** | Only appear when the sign-up is on |
| **Policy menu** | The bottom row |
| **Copyright** | Bottom line |

## Columns appear as you use them

Only the first column's menu shows at first. Pick it and its heading plus the second column appear, and so on. Three columns' worth of fields is a lot to scroll past for a shop using one.

## Mailing list

Creates a Shopify customer with an email. If you run your list in Klaviyo or similar, the [password page](/supra-shopify-theme/supra/sections-and-features/password.md) has a form-embed field — tell us if you want the same on the footer and we'll add it.

## Social links

Off by default. Turning it on puts the icon row above the bottom line — not in it, since that line is the legal row and icons among the copyright read as one more thing to skip.

The accounts, the style and the letter case are all set once under **Theme settings → Social media**, so the footer, the enter page and the password page stay in step.
