# Policies

A page section that lists your Shopify store policies (Refund, Privacy, Terms of Service, Shipping, Contact information).

## How to access

The **DRIFT Policies** section automatically renders the policies you have published in **Shopify Admin → Settings → Policies**.

## Settings

This section has no merchant-facing settings. Policy text is pulled directly from your Shopify policy fields.

## Empty policies are skipped

A policy only gets a tab if it actually has content. Shopify creates policy entries that merchants never fill in — cookie and consent policies among them — and an empty one would otherwise show up as a tab opening onto a blank panel, with nothing in the theme editor to remove it.

Whitespace and empty markup count as empty, so a policy containing just a stray blank line stays hidden too. Write content into it and the tab appears on its own.

{% hint style="info" %}
This only controls the tabs in this section. If you're seeing a cookie consent **banner** on your storefront, that's injected by Shopify, not the theme — turn it off under **Settings → Customer privacy**.
{% endhint %}

## Tips

* The default `pages/policies` URL is also where the header's auto-add Policies link points.
* Edit policy content under **Settings → Policies** in the Shopify admin.
